Chicharito, Michael Carrick and Rafael set to miss Community Shield because of injury

Javier Hernandez, Michael Carrick and Rafael are all due to miss Community Shield as Sir Alex doesn't want to risk them as they are not completely fit for the match.

Sir Alex told in the press conference that Hernandez was still two to three weeks away from match fitness and that he'd back at the end of August.

He added: “Considering he had a concussion some years ago, we're playing it safe.”

Whereas England International Carrick complained of  "feeling a tightness in achilles" during Wednesday's testimonial for Van Der Sar.

Right Back Rafael picked up an injury during friendly match against Barcelona.

The good new for SAF is that Darren Fletcher and Antonio Valencia are both fit for the match.

Sir Alex said -“It's very easy to get emotional about this type of game,” Sir Alex said on the subject of the upcoming derby match.

“I don't think we'll be changing our policy.

“I've always viewed the Community Shield as a stepping stone for the first game of the season and there are two or three players who will need a game.”

Last year Man Utd. won Community Shield match against Chelsea and then went on to win the English Premier League record nineteenth time.
